Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)
An Employer is required, by law to register with the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and contribute towards the fund monthly if they have employed workers for more than 24 hours in a month.
The contribution is two percent of the monthly gross salary. The employer must deduct one percent from the employee’s salary per month and the employer must also contribute one percent.
