An award document is a signed offer and acceptance form or a letter from the client to the contractor, instructing or authorizing them to begin the work as outlined in the contract. The completion certificate indicates the date when the work was finished (final completion)

A construction contract is an agreement for the supply of goods and services intended for the development, expansion, installation, etc, which includes buildings and engineering infrastructure.

The contractor must submit the largest completed contract for the selected class works, finished within the past five years. Each class requires a verified track record. If a contract involves multiple classes, a breakdown of the values for each must be provided.

Although the CIDB recognises a housing track record for General Building (GB) grading, we do not register contractors as home builders, whether for RDP houses, toilets, standard homes, or entire residential complexes. These contractors are required to register with the NHBRC.

Interesting note: CIDB does not register suppliers, including materials-only or labour-only suppliers, as their track records are not applicable. Project managers, service providers, and developers cannot register on the contractor register either. A Register of Service Providers will be established soon, but it is not yet implemented.
